Twenty-Four (24) Hour Slaw Recipe

Step 1

Combine salt, vinegar, water, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed and bring to a boil. Pour over vegetables. Chill. Store, covered, in the refrigerator. Keep 24 hours before serving. Will keep well if kept tightly covered and refrigerated.

  • 3lb Cabbage, shredded
  • 2 Green peppers, chopped
  • 1tb Salt
  • 1c Water
  • 2ts Celery seed
  • 2md Onions, finely chopped
  • 2 Red peppers, chopped
  • 1c Cider vinegar
  • 2c Sugar
  • 2ts Mustard seed
