Nail fungus is an unpleasant experience that will cause your nails to discolor, become brittle, and crack. Nail fungus can cause pain to the nail cuticle and surrounding skin, and is highly contagious. There are a variety of creams and medicines that your doctor can prescribe to treat the fungus. Or, you can treat and cure the nail fungus without adding chemicals to your body. Clove oil has antifungal properties that will treat nail fungus naturally.
Clean the nail with warm, soapy water, and towel dry. Try not to let the cloth or towel that came in contact with the infected nail touch any other nails. Doing so could spread the fungus.
Dilute 5 to 10 drops of clove oil in 1 cup of olive oil. Fill an eyedropper with the mixture.
Apply one to two drops of the mixture to the infected nail. Spread the mixture with a cotton swab to cover the entire nail.
Wash hands immediately after you have applied the mixture, and whenever you touch the infected nail.
Reapply the mixture to the nail once a day until the symptoms subside.
