Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you all about homemade cleaning supplies for your painted wood surfaces. A lot of times you're going to have painted wood in the kitchen, your kitchen cabinets or if you have a bedroom suite that you picked up at a consignment shop and thought hey, I can paint this white and it'll look awesome, still got to take care of it and the good thing is it's painted and so it's not going to be as difficult or as harmful to try and wipe it clean, it's not going to dry out as easily. So what you want to do is always have a spray bottle of vinegar and water around your house, not just for this, for everything. And this vinegar and water will take care of all the surfaces in your house including wood, including painted wood, it's harmless. You just put about I think in a quart of water like this, you can put a teaspoon of vinegar. You can put a little more if you want, it's not going to be a big deal but it only takes a splash of vinegar. You don't really have to measure it out because vinegar is harmless. So just spray your vinegar and water on the surface that you're wanting to clean and it works wonderfully. Then these are look like they're freshly painted and the wood is in really good condition. If you have older piece of furniture or older cabinets that are painted and they look like they are drying out and they need a little moisture, you want to get your olive oil. This is the same idea as using the Orange Glo stuff but this is just the homemade recipe. It's the same concept, you're using oil to moisturize the wood. So I've got just a little dab of olive oil on there and you can clean an entire cabinet, maybe even two with that little tiny bit. I know a lot of people think wow, my olive oil costs 40 dollars a bottle, well it only takes a tiny bit and you might want to buy the cheap kind of olive oil to do something like this if you're going to be doing a whole lot of the wood in your house. So this will give it a nice shine and moisturize your wood. Do that all over and it's that easy. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and that is homemade cleaning supplies for your painted wood surfaces.
