Hi friends. I'm Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida. And getting rid of grease ants in the home can be very easy if you know the secret. Well, number one thing you have to do is identify what type of ant you actually have. Now this can be very easy. If you get a little piece of Scotch tape, you can look for where the ants are traveling. Put the Scotch tape over the ant, and that will make them stick to the tape. Bring that to, oh, either your local county extension office or pest control office, and they can identify, first of all, what type of ant you have. Once you know what type of ant you have, then you can determine the treatment method. Now I got a couple of different treatment methods that are very specific for different types of ants that some people call grease ants. Number one, we have a product here called Advion. This is a gel bait. This is for certain types of ants that want to have an actual liquid bait in the area. This is made out by putting out placements around the areas that you're seeing ants. It can be around a stove, or it could be around your dishwasher, or anything else. But you make small, little placements all the way around throughout the home. If that particular ant that you have had identified feeds on the wet bait, then that's what you want to use. The second product I'd like to go over with you is called In Tice. This is a granular bait we can use up inside and around the home, as well. And this will help to get rid of those ants. They actually pick up the granule, they bring it back to the nest, and that's it. It'll kill those ants. Both of these products are very helpful for you. I'm Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida, hoping you have a pest free day.
