Hi, this is Yolanda Vanveen on behalf of Expert Village. In this series we're talking about how to make your garden feel more welcoming. There is nothing more welcoming than having plants full of fragrance in your yard or something that reminds you of your childhood. Really to make your garden welcoming, I always try to select plants that remind me of my youth. Rather if it's a lilly of the valley or a pinny or lilac in bloom something that was in your grandma's yard. Because when it comes down to it, it's what makes us remember each other too. You are making memories for the future and for your children too so if you take the time to transplant plants or to put them in containers or even bring them inside. To make your garden feel welcoming, select plants for their color, for their texture and for their fragrance and that way you will have a garden that many will remember for years to come. Anyone that visits your garden will remember it and enjoy it. In the next segment we'll talk about front yard gardening and how to make your front yard welcoming.
