Blanket flower (Galardia x grandiflora) is a drought-resistant Plains-area wildflower prized in perennial gardens across the zones that is best fertilized with a slow-release or organic fertilizer sparsely. If over-fertilized, the daisy-like flowers get too leggy and won't bloom.
