Appearance: Poor if not dried. Can have unpleasant odor.

Water Penetration: Good if not matted
Moisture Retention: Fair
Decomposition Speed: Rapid; green grass adds nitrogen
Comments: Can be mixed with peat moss. After drying can be spread thinly around young plants. Could contain herbicides. If very fresh could heat up enough to damage plants.
