Beer Bread Recipe

Overview

Has a slight sweetness to it.

Step 1

Combine flour and sugar. Mix well.

Step 2

Add beer and mix well – might need to mix with hands. (batter will be sticky). Pour into a greased bread pan.

Step 3

Pour melted butter over it. Place cookie sheet under bread pan, as butter may boil over.

Step 4

Bake for 50 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees. Top will be crunchy, while inside will be soft. Cool 15 minutes.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 3 C. Self Rising Flour
  • 1 1/4 C. white sugar
  • 1 1 (12 oz) can beer
  • 1 1/4 – 1/2 C. melted butter
  • 1 1 t. Salt
