I'm Donna Emery from Glover Nursery in West Jordan, Utah. Dish detergent can be a useful tool fighting insects in your yard. To kill an average infestation of something like aphids or white flies or other soft bodied insects you want to use about two tablespoons of dish washing liquid and a quart of water, 32 ounces. For regular maintenance about half that much is plenty. But because we have aphids I'm going to mix up two tablespoons. Okay. I'm just going to gently agitate it. I don't want to make suds but I want to make sure that that's thoroughly mixed in. And I'm ready to spray.
