Hi, Oscar Carmona for Healing Grounds, Certified Biodynamic Nursery located in Santa Barbara, California. Here today about how to use Preen in a vegetable garden. Preen is basically a pre-emergent weed killer, that basically does that. I don't actually recommend it I, I believe that in a garden setting your best options are using your hands, using plastic mulch as a deterrent and or using regular organic mulch and in thick quantities, 4 to 6 inches. The reason is this, you, any herbicide salt based chemical type fertilizer or pesticide or herbicide, basically erodes soil biology and it's a bad byproduct of the use of Preen. So in my opinion there are many other options, that you should avail yourself to and many of them, you know don't prescribe you going out and buying another product to use in your garden, your hands and the use of some kind of plastic material, to create more heat and block weeds is sufficient. I'm, Oscar Carmona for Healing Grounds, Certified Biodynamic Nursery. I sure hope you found this information useful. Remember feed the soil, let the plants feed you. Happy gardening.
