Hi, I'm Teca Thompson, and today we're going to learn how to plant an avocado pit in soil. So, I've saved an avocado pit from my last batch of guacamole. I have filled this pot with all purpose, all natural garden soil. So, we're going to place the bottom part of the seed which was the flat part into the full part of the garden soil. You'll rotate your finger around, making a little indentation for the seed to sit in. So, we'll place the seed like so, leaving the egg shape part up and pointing towards the sun. And we'll just pack it down a little, letting it nest in there, right and nice. We are going to water this quite generously, you want it to be very moist and this is something you want to check everyday to make sure that your avocado pit is getting a lot of sunlight and a lot of water. But, keeping it in a pot that is easy to drain so it doesn't get water log or overdone. With lots of love and care and close observation, in a few weeks to a month you will have a little baby avocado tree. So, remember the key word here is tree. Wherever you choose to plant your property or in your garden, this is going to grow into a big tree. So, you want to give it plenty of room to grow. And that is how you plant an avocado pit and soil. Thanks and have a great day.
