One important feature that comes with a spa is the ability to filter the spa, which is how the spa cleans itself to prevent dirt and other grime from piling up in the spa. Spas often come with filtration cycles--when the spa cleans itself--already pre-programmed. It is possible, however, for you to adjust these settings so that the spa cleans itself when you want it to. The method for doing this depends on the model of spa you own.
