7 Dollar Tree Garden Finds That Are Perfect For Fall

Just because your summer flowers have faded and leaves are falling from the trees, that doesn't mean you're done in the garden. Between adding decor for the season and taking care of fall garden chores, there's still a lot to be done. And Dollar Tree offers quite a few very budget-friendly tools for fall garden chores as well as cheerful autumnal decor.

Many of these Dollar Tree items could be especially helpful if you're a newer gardener who is still working on building up a collection of fall yard decor and tools. And as most of these finds can be used over and over, you should be able to bring them out to care for and elevate your fall garden in the coming years as well. Factors like price, reviews, and seasonal utility were considered when choosing the products on this list. You can check out the full methodology used for selecting them at the end of the article. While product availability varies by store location, many of these items can also be shipped. Just be aware that there is often a minimum order quantity in that case.

When you're ready to start pruning your dormant shrubs and trees, it's essential to have the right tools. And the Garden Collection Folding Pruning Saw could be exactly what you're looking for if you need to cut back branches that are a bit too thick to handle with a pair of loppers. While it doesn't have any reviews yet on Dollar Tree's website, this saw was viewed favorably by YouTubers who have tested it, including Cowboy Survival. He was especially impressed by the saw's performance given its price tag of only $5.00.

What's a more quintessentially autumnal chore than gathering and picking up leaves? And if you have a yard full of fallen foliage and no tools to handle it, then the Garden Collection Leaf Rake could be a cost-effective option. With a star rating of 4.5, customers praised its size, comfortable weight, and durability. It's also priced well at just $1.50. Just be aware, you'll need to purchase a handle like the Garden Collection Tool Handle separately. But the handle has a 5-star rating, and $3 for a rake is still very cheap.

With days growing shorter, the right lighting is essential for keeping your yard a bright and welcoming place. Dollar Tree always has a range of solar stake lights — but the Garden Collection Solar Mini Flame Stake Light is particularly pretty with a cute cut-out flower pattern and is only $1.50 per light (some of Dollar Tree's solar lights are $3). Whether you use the lights to highlight plants or frame paths, make sure to locate them in a spot where their solar panels will be able to get plenty of sunlight during the day.

Dollar Tree's 39-Gallon Jumbo Trash and Lawn Bags are well-suited for handling all your autumn leaves. You can use them to drag your yard waste to the curb or even help dead leaves decompose faster to create leaf mold by storing them in the bags. Giving the bags an overall rating of 4.2 stars, customers generally found them serviceable for autumn cleanup and well priced at $1.50 for a box of 7.

Despite its petite size of 5.5 inches tall and 7.64 inches in diameter, the $1.50 Garden Collection Round Whiskey Barrel Shaped Planter could be an affordable find to elevate your fall container garden. With a star rating of 4.7, they're clearly a hit with customers. Filling these whiskey barrel-style planters with small marigold plants or other fall flowers could add color and a fun rustic autumnal look to patios, steps, and other areas. You could even pair them with larger barrel planters to create a gorgeous grouping.

Fall is the time to plant bulbs for a stunning spring garden. But it can be difficult work to dig holes for all those daffodil and tulip bulbs, especially if you're planting a lot of them. With a bulb planter, you simply press it into the ground and turn to create a hole to drop your bulb into. At $3, Dollar Tree's Garden Collection Bulb Seeder is cheaper than the bulb planters at Home Depot, Lowe's, and even Walmart. While this model doesn't have any ratings yet, a good bulb planter could be a cheap and handy addition to your collection of autumn garden tools.

As your annual flowers begin to fade away for the year, your garden could begin looking a bit bare. Fun decor pieces like these Pumpkin Garden Stakes can help keep your landscape cheery and colorful. These cute pumpkins are $1.50 each and have a star rating of 4.5. Customers found them durable and long-lasting, making them something that can grace your garden next fall as well.

While the primary factor considered when putting together this list of Dollar Tree finds was how useful they would be in your autumn garden, price and ratings were also considered. None of the items cost over $5.00, and most retail for only $1.50. Reviews were also considered, and all the items with reviews have a rating of 4 stars or higher out of 5.
