Austin State University. It has bright green leaves with white bell-shaped flowers that bloom in the springtime. It grows best in partial shade to full sun and requires watering when it is dry.

Hibiscus Syriacus

Native to China and India, the hibiscus syriacus is a type of deciduous flowering tree that reaches about 8 to 10 feet tall at maturity. It is a multi-stemmed tree with green leaves that turn a yellow-green color in the fall During the summer months, the tree will produce flowers ranging in color from white, pink, magenta, violet or blue. According to the University of Connecticut website, the hibiscus syriacus prefers warm climates and grows best in full sunlight.

Compact Strawberry Tree

Native to southern Europe, the compact strawberry tree is a type of evergreen tree that reaches 10 feet at its highest. It has glossy green leaves and red stems. During the fall, the tree produces small white flowers followed by strawberry-like fruits, according to Turtle Bay Exploration Park. The plant grows best with regular watering and in environments with partial shade to full sunlight.

Redvein Enkianthus

The redvein enkianthus is a type of flowering tree native to Japan. There are several cultivars of this tree species, including “red bells,” and “showy lantern.” The tree is known for its dark green foliage that changes to red during the fall. In the spring, the redvein enkianthus produces small bell-shaped flowers. According to the University of Illinois, the plant prefers full sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained soils.

Fernspray Gold

The fernspray gold is a type of evergreen tree that will reach a maximum height of 10 feet. According to Washington State University, the tree has a feather-like appearance and has green horizontal branches with golden yellow tips. The plant prefers well-drained soil in a partially shaded environment.
