Bayer Season Long Grub Control Plus Turf Revitalizer will help you kill grubs and revitalize your lawn so that it is green and healthy. You can apply the grub control anytime from the middle of May through the middle part of August for best results. Florida residents can apply the grub control anytime from April until May. The product will control grubs and other insects, including crickets.
Use the lawn seed spreader to apply the grub control. On the package, it has directions for a drop spreader and a broadcast spreader. The drop spreader is lower to the ground and drops the granules through the holes in the bottom and the broadcast spreader has a spinning wheel that distributes the granules.
Apply 2.4 pounds of grub control to every 1,000 square feet. If you cannot find the type of spreader that you have on the package for the correct setting, pour the correct amount of grub control into the spreader and select the lowest setting.
Select a starting point and start walking with the spreader while distributing the product. If you have the lowest setting because you don’t know the correct setting for your lawn spreader, cover the entire area and turn around and work your way back to your starting point while distributing the remainder of the product.
Water the grass thoroughly after the application so that granules can penetrate the soil and reach the grubs that are feeding on the grass roots. If you are expecting rain right away, the rain will do the same thing.
