Hi! I’m Katrina Cameron and on behalf of Expert Village. I’m going to tell you and show you how to maximize space for all the things that should go in your closet that don’t hang. So to maximize space, I’ve got one of these great plastic bins with drawers in it. Things that should be in this type of drawer should be sports wear, so that would be sports bras, spandex, running shorts that really don’t go on a hanger, more tighter items. Then another great usage of drawers in a closet are for winter wear; for scarves, gloves, items like that. Also, if you go ahead and look up here, I’ve stored items that I really don’t get into very often. These are all luggage items that are accessible. Like this is a beach bag, but things that I would take on a long trip can go up higher. So you really want to map out your closet in a way that is most logical to your lifestyle. If you’re a jet setter, then you maybe want some luggage that’s a little bit easier to get to. Other things that can be not hung are swear shirts and sweaters. Those get folded because otherwise, if you put them on a hanger they really get stretched out. Also, I’ve used a shelf riser here to maximize the top space between the ceiling and the shelf to house hats.
