Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to teach you how to clean spots out of your carpet. You want to have a little scrub brush available. This is going to work for so many different things, but this little scrubby brush is great for carpet. If you have Berber carpet or carpet that might be a little more tightly wound, this really gets down into the threads. It works well. A good spot treatment solution is vinegar and water. If you use about a cup of vinegar in a quart of water, you don't even really need a cup. I don't measure it out. It's just a splash of vinegar in water. It really is a great stain fighter. You can spray it on any stain and let it sit for as long as you need to before you go back and scrub it and vinegar is really great at removing smells, so if you have pet stains or pet urine or things like that on your carpet, it helps get rid of the smells. So vinegar and water works great. There are tons of different products out there for spot cleaning carpet and I've used every single one. I really think vinegar and water is the best thing to clean carpets with. I've even invested in this carpet cleaning, it's like a spot cleaning machine and it came with a solution that you keep in the back of it and it sprays the solution out and it's got these little scrubbers on the bottom that works it in. I don't use that solution. I use vinegar and water. It works better than the solution did and then this, it sucks the moisture out of the carpet so, just see what works best for you, what you think's best, all the little gimmicking knick-knacks are not going to work. You need elbow grease to clean spots out of your carpet, so remember that, most of all. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and that is how you clean spots out of carpet.
