Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you how to clean stains on carpet. First off, I've used everything under the sun to clean carpet, because when I bought my house I was seven months pregnant and I'm a freak about having everything light colored. So I got, pretty much, white carpet. And then the baby was born, and he destroyed the carpet on a daily basis. So I have become the expert on cleaning carpet, for sure. I've tried everything under the sun, every commercial I fell for. All the gimmicks, everything. I've bought this thing, you know, I've tried everything. The best thing I've found to clean stains on carpet is vinegar and water. Keep a spray bottle of it. This stuff works wonders on anything, but carpet stains, it works really great. You just spray vinegar and water onto the carpet stains, and, you want to scrub it with a scrub brush if you have one available, like this. Or you can use a sponge to work it in. And next you want to dry it. When you dry a stain, don't rub it like that. You want to blot. Put something down, stand on it. Paper towels, a chamois works best. Make sure to dry it completely, because mold and bacteria can grow in your carpet really quickly, and rapidly spread because, you know, it's something that furniture sits on and things like this. It won't get enough air and it can harbor mold and bacteria, which is dangerous. So, make sure to dry it all the way. Vinegar and water. You can try the commercial things, see if they work for you. This is my favorite, and I have, pretty much, white carpet, so. And also, these things are awesome, 'cause this sucks the water and the solution out of the carpet, just like this. And there's a solution you can buy specifically for this carpet cleaner, but I put vinegar and water in it. That's what I use. I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and that is how you clean stains out of carpet.
