Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you how to clean out your air ducts. There's a lot of different ways that people do this. You really have to get creative and you do want to be careful. First off, if you have vent covers that, you know, are screwed into the floor or if they're in the ceiling they are screwed in, grab a Phillip's head screwdriver and remove them. And set these aside. While you're in this area and you're cleaning your air ducts, you might as well clean these up, too, so it'll look new. Detail, it's all in the details. So. Now you've got, you know, all kinds of scary stuff down there. Don't stick your hand down there and feel around for what you might find. Get your vacuum and turn it on and just suck out any debris that may be in there. You don't want to go too far down in there, 'cause it's really not necessary. You know, just try to get it looking good, the part that you can see. Another thing, if it's really dusty, even after you vacuum it, if you get a wet, stringy mop and get it a little bit wet, wring it out, and use that to just kind of dust inside of your air vent, that'll really clean it out great. And then once you're done, go grab your vent cover and polish it up real nice. And then replace it. I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and that is how you clean air vents.
