Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and I'm going to tell you about removing mildew, from your vinyl siding. It happens. If you don't wash your vinyl siding often enough, or maybe you find a great deal on a house, but the outside of it doesn't look so great, because it's got mildew. It's really not that hard to clean off, so go on and snatch that house up, and do the work yourself. All you need is some house wash, and a water sprayer. This is a solution that you let sit on the stains for about twenty minutes, and then scrub them, scrub them, scrub them really, really well, really put some elbow grease into it, before you rinse it off. If you have some deeper stains, or you think that's not going to work, you want to make a paste, using baking soda and dish liquid. This is a really good stain fighter, and it's thick enough to really sit and stay on the stain, so you can let it really cook out that stain, really kill the mildew. The dish soap is great at that, so after that, scrub that spot a little bit, and then rinse it off with the hose. You can try using bleach and water, a couple of gallons of water, with a splash of bleach in it. You can let it sit on the stain, you can scrub it. If you let it sit a little bit longer, it will be easier to scrub the stain off, and there are tons of options, but mildew really can't stay on vinyl siding. If you really get your elbow grease in there, really scrub it, you can get it off. Vinyl siding is so, so easy to clean. That's why it's on so many houses. I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and that is how you get mildew off of vinyl siding.
