Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to give you some laundry tips for fading colors. If you really don't want your colors to fade, buy a better brand of laundry detergent that may be specifically for helping your colors not fade. I know there's plenty of name brands out there, they may be a little more pricey but if you're really concerned about your clothes fading too much, you may want to put the extra money in it because in the end the laundry detergent does cost less than your clothes in most cases. Another thing you can do is when you throw your clothes in the washing machine, add your laundry detergent as usual and add a splash of vinegar. Vinegar is going to protect your clothing from that laundry detergent. It doesn't necessarily keep clothes bright or make them brighter, but it does protect them from the harsh chemicals in the laundry detergent. Vinegar also helps get rid of any funky smells that you have in your clothes, it's got tons of uses around your house and this is one of them. So make sure to A, buy good laundry detergent that's made specifically for fading clothes and B, use some vinegar to help protect your clothes. After that just pop them in the dryer and they should be as good as new. Oh, and don't let them sit out in the sun to dry. If you're going to hang clothes on a clothesline, any clothes that you don't want to fade you don't want to hang them out in the sun because the sun is going to fade your clothes. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and that is how you keep your clothes from fading.
