Hi, this is Ann Myrick and today I'm going to show you how to clean a bath mat. If the bath mat has a label on it that tells you how to take care of it and how to clean it, then read it and just follow the instructions. These do not, and with the color, these have a bright color, so I'm going to wash these in a washer, but I'm also going to wash them on a cold cycle, since I'm not sure if they're color fast, and I want to be sure that I don't lose my color. So I'm going to use a mild detergent, and just put it in the washer on a normal cycle, and cold water, wash and rinse. Once you wash them- first of all, you want to shake it, you can either vacuum it, sweep it, but I would just take them out, or if you're cleaning that room anyway, just give it a good shake, and then put it in the washer, wash them and then if they have a rubber or plastic backing, it does say you can dry them, but you're either going to want to dry them on a lower cycle or a lower level, or you're going to want to just hang it and let it drip dry. Because what happens, is that, although it does say you can dry it, the heat does tend to crack after several uses in the dryer, the heat does crack the rubber, so you might take care of your rubber just by hanging it over your shower, or outside in the sun. This is Ann Myrick, and that is how you clean your rugs.
