I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and I'm going to show you how to fold a cloth diaper. Nowadays, with landfills filling up, and people being concerned about the environment more and more people are turning to cloth diapers. And since it's been such a long time since they were widely used a lot of people just don't know how to fold the diaper. First, you want to purchase some diaper covers. You can buy em' at the store, or there's websites you can go to to buy little designer diaper covers that are really cute, and you know, it's really up to you, depending on how much money you want to spend on em'. But first, you want to take a cloth diaper like this. This is what cloth diapers look like nowadays. They're not the really thick rectangular ones. They're more of a thin material which is good, because after your baby is potty trained they're great for dusting and cleaning your house with. That's why I still have mine. What you want to do is first, fold it end to end, and then fold it a third of the way with the right side, and a third of the way with the left side. Keep a stack of these handy so that when you change your baby's diaper you can take out the dirty diaper, leave the cover under their bottom, and then just stick this between the baby and the diaper cover, and when you close the diaper cover it will fold the diaper like this. And diaper covers; nowadays you don't use safety pins anymore; you use Velcro. So, that's how you do it. Make sure to keep a stack of these handy so you don't have to, you know, fold one every time when the baby's layin' there cryin' because you're changin' its diaper. I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and that is how you fold a cloth diaper.
