Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you how to clean a carpet. If you want to do this yourself at home there are several different carpet cleaners that you can buy. Just make sure you can dedicate a whole day to it because this is something that is a very tedious job especially if you have a lot of carpet. If it's just a rug it may not be as big of a deal but if it's carpet you know that has been installed on your floor. You are going to want to be able to open windows and put fans in your home, turn the ceiling fans on high and really let them dry before you place any furniture back on top of the carpet. This carpet cleaner comes with a solution. You can push a button on it and it will spray the solution out. It has got those scrubbers on the bottom to really let you work in the solution and then it's got another button that will suck the water out of your carpet. You want to make sure to get your carpet nice and dry. Sometimes it is just easier to call professionals. They can get it done quicker but if you invest in a carpet cleaner like this you will save yourself tons of money over the years. It may take a little more time but with people cleaning their carpets, once every six months or once a year it will save you money in the long run. Don't clean your carpets too often because carpets can harbor mildew and mold that you may not find for years and years later. It is really dangerous for your family to breath in the black mold and things like that so make sure not to shampoo or clean your carpet too often. My name is Rachel Yatuzis and that's how you clean a carpet.
