I'm Bill Elzey with Showplace Lawns. What are types of summer flowers? Well, four really good types are the Blackfoot daisy, the Four O'clock, Yarrow, and Zinnias. Blackfoot daisy is a white bloomer with with little kind of blooms coming together in sort of a bush kind of like setting. Four O'clocks, at least in this part of the country can grow as high as four feet tall with a sort of reddish purplish bloom on them. Yarrow is a little smaller and there's different colors, different sizes of blooms. And then there's the Zinnias. Those are a real favorite because they will just grow and flourish in the full sun summer. Multitude of colors, yellows, oranges, reds, whites, and variations of those. Zinnias will continue to bloom, especially by keeping the spent blooms off of them. But four really good summer flowers are the Blackfoot daisy, the Four O'clock, Yarrow, and the Zinnias.
