Hi! This is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, we will be attaching the kick plate. Now if we measure correctly and made our cuts correctly, our kick plate piece should fit in there smoothly and there should be a pretty smooth transition between our kick plate and our side piece. Now if there is a little bit of a lip, you can always sand that down later. When we do attach this, we will want to leave a little bit of lip on this top edge so that we can come back with the router and make that smooth. To attach it we first are going to put a pretty good coat of glue down our entire piece. Now you are going to want to spread this around with your fingers once you get it on there so that it will hold just a little bit better. I went ahead and put some glue on the side here as well even though ingrain doesn't glue very good. It just gives it that added holding power even if it doesn't do the best of job. Go ahead and slip our kick plate right where we want it. Once you have that slight overhang, go ahead and put a couple of pin nails in and I am going to put a couple in the side also. As you can see, this one came out the bottom. It probably deflected off of this one so I went ahead and put another one in. One thing about pin nailer's if my hand was here while I was getting ready to nail that, that would have went right into my finger and that wouldn't have felt very good. So you always want to be careful to where you place your hands. To remove this we are just going to take a pair of diagonal cutters and cut them.
