Hi, this is Jon and in this clip I will be talking about the tools needed to complete our book stand. The first tool that we are going to be needing is a band saw. Now the band saw is going to be used to cut out our rough shape of our book stand. One thing nice about the band saw is that as we cut we can make pretty sharp curves and it will give us a nice finished rough cut. Next I am going to be using a spindle type sander to help me form some of the inside radius and a disc type sander to help me form some of the outside radius on my pieces. Additionally, we are going to need a power drill. What we are going to be using this for is to drill the pilot holes for our hinge screws and then we are going to put a screw driver bit in it and allow it to help us to screw those hinges onto our pieces. And lastly I am going to be using a small quarter sheet palm sander and I am going to be using this to help do my final sanding on my project.
