Hi, this is Jon, and in this clip we'll be sizing our top plate and routing the edges. To maintain my 1 inch margin on either side, I'm going to be sizing my top plate to 4 inches. First I will be cleaning up one edge on the joiner, and again this is going to make that edge square with one of my faces. Next I've set up my table saw to just a little bit over 4 inches. And again I'm going to make my cut, then I'm going to take it back over to the joiner, and clean up that one edge. I'll just do a quick check to verify the size and make sure that I have my margins that I want. Everything looks good. After running my cut edge through the joiner, to clean it up, I'm going to be routering it in two steps again. I have my router bit set high, now I'm going to come back and lower that, and make a second cut.
