Today we're going to plant our lettuce bed. And the first thing we'd like to talk about is the selection of lettuce seeds. Now, there's a lot of catalogs out there that you can order your seeds from, ad it's great to get your seeds early in the year so you know what you're going to plant. You want to get a full spectrum of the green lettuces, the red lettuces, and so that you have a good variety of lettuces to eat in your--when you take them to your table. And today, we're going to be planting green Grand Rapids, which is a dark green lettuce. And we're going to be sowing these seeds in the spring, after it's frosted, so we don't have to worry about the frost killing the seeds.
