So after you get your safety stuff on your next thing that you want to do is identify the tools that you are going to need for the job that you are going to do. So first thing we are going to concentrate on is this paint down here at the bottom that seems to be cracking off and chipping away. Any tool any thing for that all you are going to need is basically a scraper, maybe a sander, here we have some scraper set out. These are for more for windows. Scraping paint off of windows that sort of thing they are razor blades. These two are more what we are looking for. They are more of a dull edge good for scraping paint basically of wood. Since it is a smaller job we are just going to go ahead and use this smaller tool and very straight forward all you do is kind of hold it with your right hand left hand whatever hand that you want. You want to put your pointer finger right on the center of it so you could put pressure on it. Then you just want to find the trouble area. Just put some pressure on it. Start scrapping. Scrape some of that old paint off. Whatever seems to be loose. You want to make sure that you get all the loose stuff that way that you don't have the same problem again. If you don't get it all the first time your are going to have to go back and do it again and it would just crack again. Beyond that you just want to make sure that you scrap until all of your paint chips has chipped off and then we move on to the sanding.
