Hello, my name is Grady Johnson and I'm a professional painter and today I'm representing expertvillage.com. Now I'd like to talk a little bit about the hoses you're going to need to use for your pressure washer. Basically there are two types, one is a pressure hose and one is a regular garden hose. Now, before you start working, it's going to make your life a lot easier if you strengthen these hoses all the way out so that it's a good straight line when you start to work. Otherwise it's going to snag up on you, kink up and you're going to loose pressure and that can be really bad especially if you're up on the roof. So the first thing you want to do is check and make sure that all of these couplings are good and you can see here this isn't bent up or torn so it's going to screw right in there. Also check where the female fitting is that it fits into that there's a good washer in there. If the washer isn't any good, it's real cheap just replace it. Now, the same thing with the pressure hose as well, now pressure hoses have a different coupling that locks. Be sure that this works properly, that the barbarians are all good and that this little washer in here is on there or it's not going to work at all. Now, when you're working with hoses like this that are under pressure, they do tend to kink up a little bit and they work a little different because they're a harder hose. So you must stretch it all out and spin it. When you're pulling out your hose you just want to sort of spin it like this and that sort of takes the curls out of it and that's what I'm going to do right now, stretch out this hose. You see I'm just spinning the end of it and that takes those kinks out of it. Okay, now that we've got that all done, go ahead and even this out and we're going to do the same thing with our garden hose. Now it works the same with a garden hose, but you see it kinks a little easier, so it can get a little knotted up, but you want to stretch that all way out too and then it'll get a little stiffer whenever you put the pressure washer on it. Well I'm going to stretch this one out, but this is everything you need to know about the hoses you use on your pressure washer.
