Hi friends, I'm Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida, and I have been asked a question, how do you get rid of tiny orb spiders? Well you know the orb spiders is sometimes commonly referred to as a crab spider. And generally what they do they're going to nest between either your house and a bush or in areas that people frequently walk, or that bugs might fly in. And what these spiders do, they're going to hookup they're web to one side of an area and then string a very long web to the other and then build their web in between those areas. Now when we come up to treat a home and we want to get rid of spiders, because that might be the primary insect that they're having, is we're going to do a couple of things. First thing we want to do is, we're going to use what we call a Webster, and this Webster is a very great tool for going ahead and knocking down any existing spiderwebs that are in the home. How we'll do it, we'll go up to the home and we'll use the Webster around all the doors and windows of the property, and then we'll go up to the eaves and we'll actually brush down the eaves with the actual brush here. And once all the eaves have been done then we're going to come around and we're going to mix up a new product that we like to use, and this is called Demand CS. Demand CS is a micro capsulated product which will last a long time. After the spiders have been knocked to the ground, what we'll do is we'll go ahead and treat the eaves of the home and then the base of the home. Then when the spider start to crawl back up to the areas to go ahead and reattach the spiderwebs, they'll crawl through the material and that will kill your globe spiders or your orb spiders as well. So that's a good way to get rid of spiders, knock them down first, do your application and then go ahead and let the spiders walk through the materials you're treating it with. I'm Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida, hoping you have a pest-free day.
