How to Rid Your Home of Flies

Hi I'm Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida. A lot of people ask us how to get rid of flies in your home. Well number one is to remove the food sources that the flies are feeding on within the home. That's number one with cleanliness so we want to remove any open foods or foods that may have been spilled on the floors in the kitchen in preparation of meals and things, get rid of those areas is number one, number two is using products such as fly traps inside the home in the commercial side, we actually use little fly traps we will put inside a house and the fly traps have a little sticky part inside the trap, the flies are attracted by a light and they fly inside and they get stuck to the trap. That is a very easy way to get rid of them inside the house. Outside the house around maybe a dumpster or something else we have actual fly baits that homeowners can even purchase and they can spread the bait around the outside of the home and that really helps to eliminate fly populations outside the home and there is also fly attractants that are used that can help to rid the flies in those areas as well, very easy controls, a lot of these products can be applied very easily and homeowners can pick them up at either a do it yourself pest control store or even some of the box stores carry these products too.
