Hello! This is Matthew Christian from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, today we are here to talk about cordless nail guns. As with any tool whether it be a hand tool or a power tool, always practice good safety especially when using a cordless nailer. This machine is driving a nail somewhere around 250 feet per second. It is essentially a gun. You want to use safety when using this gun in such a way that you never want to point the gun towards anyone. If there was an accidental misfire, you could potentially shoot someone with a nail. Obviously you wouldn't want to point it towards yourself and anytime handling it or maintaining it or changing nails, you should always remove the battery to prevent any accidental misfire. In addition to protecting yourself, you should use ear plugs and a set of OSHA approved safety glasses. Let's just say you are firing a nail and it ricocheted off of what you were nailing to, you wouldn't won't that nail coming back and hitting you in the eye. A good pair of safety glasses will keep your vision for years to come. Safety first.
