Hi! My name is Matthew Christian from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, today I would like to talk to you about the proper use and maintenance of a leaf blowers. Another area of maintenance for your gas powered leaf blower will be maybe necessary from time to time to replace the spark plug. Again, this is a two cycled engine. They do tend to fowl out or wear out the spark plugs rather quickly and what we do is that we simply remove the spark plug boot and then using a wrench applicable and that fits, we will unscrew the spark plug and we will replace the spark plug with the same like and kind that is recommended by the manufacturer. This is very important using a spark plug other than what the manufacturer recommends. Most likely the equipment will not run properly. So when replacing a spark plug, be sure to use the same like kind or the one that is recommended by the manufacturer. After you unscrew the old spark plug, you screw the new one in. Be sure not to over tighten the spark plug. The cylinder head is made out of cast aluminum and if you try to over tighten that spark plug, you could potentially damage the top of the cylinder head. So just a good snug fit is all you need and then replace the cap and you are good to go.
