Hi this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village, in this video clip I will be showing you how to work with wood putty. If we take a look at our trim piece we would notice that there is a small gap where our trim meets our veneer. Now alot of times this occurs when out cut was not aligned perfectly straight but there are ways to fix it. I'm going to be using a product called wood putty and basically what this does is you fill it in the joint and it will seal that joint and it will make it appear as if there is no gap there. When choosing wood putty you want to get wood putty the same as what you are staining your project. My stain is going to be golden oak so I got golden oak wood putty. To apply this go ahead and get a little bit on your putty knife and work that into the area that needs to be filled. Scrap off ant excess and wait for it to dry and when it dries you can go ahead and sand it just as if where sanding your piece.
