This is Charles McMahon for Expert Village. We’ve got everything cleaned off, we’ve got our new spindles cut, our holes drilled and the next step is to assemble this without glue, so we are going to have to do some fitting to make sure that this whole thing gets together. Once we put glue on these things, we have to get this together very quickly and clamped so we have to make sure that everything fits together properly before we apply any of the glue. Since these are 7/16’s and the holes are only 3/8’s, these do not fit very well in these holes so the first thing that we have to do is to reduce the diameter to the point where we can fit these in here. So we can take some rolled up sand paper here and just sand paper down the bottom end of these things until they fit in. We only have to take off 1/16th, that means 1/32nd on each side, 1/16th off diameter, so we don’t really have to sand it too long to get it in there and we don’t want to take too much off. It fits quite nicely in the top as you can see this one fits in pretty well. This shouldn’t take too much time; it’s getting there.
