Hi! Welcome back to Expert Village and my name is Charlie Folkman and today we are going to continue building our gazebo. Okay so the next step is we are going to actually start installing our beams. So back here we have our 4 x 4 beams and we already have our layout. So pretty much we are just going to go ahead and grab our beam, your side down, and we are going to set them square on our layout. Okay now if you can see what Richard is doing right here, he is holding at an angle and it is causing this gap. We want to make sure that it is set all the way flushed with the bottom of the base. Okay now the first thing we are going to do for just a little extra support, we are going to go ahead and use that toenail technique that I told you about earlier. We are going to put just one screw diagonally like this. What that is going to do is help hold us and we have no shifting when we are installing our brackets. Okay now it is time to install our L brackets. They are very simple. Line them up about the middle of the beam on either side and we are just going to screw them right in. After you get it screwed into the beam, we are going to go ahead and screw it down to the base. That is pretty much how simple that is. We are going to do the exact same thing on this bracket and the exact same thing all the way around.
