Hi. This is Yolanda Vanveen on behalf of Expert Village. In this series we have talked about square foot gardening; that's building a raised bed that is four foot by four foot with one foot by one foot squares within it. The reason why it is so successful is because you can plant square foot gardens pretty much anywhere. You can put one on your patio of where you live in an apartment. You can put one in the court yard of your retirement center and have everyone join in the fun. It's very simple and only uses a little bit of space. Within that four foot by four foot area, you can produce sixteen different squares with sixteen different plants. Whether it's a vegetable garden or an all fruit garden or an all berry garden within that area, it's very, very successful in a small area. Even tomatoes will do great. You can put a tomato cage right in one of those squares and it really doesn't take up too much room. So, square foot gardening is one of the easiest ways to garden because you are using a little bit of space and creating a gorgeous garden within it. Square foot gardening is a great way to garden. It's useful, easy and simple and you have maximum results within a little space. Next, we'll conclude our series on square foot gardening.
