Hi, this is Jessica Smith in Blands Nursery in West Jordan Utah and today we're talking about the best conditions for perennial flowers. Where to plant a perennial flower, well that depends on what flower it is. You'll want to go with sunny locations for your sunny perennials and shady locations for your shady perennials. A lot of sunny perennials also take some shady locations. So kind of check and see how much sun the area's actually getting that you're planting in. Number one; always make sure you condition that soil with organic matter. That's the most important step you can take to any garden. The choices of perennials are endless. See what actually grows in your area as a perennial. Go to your local nursery and actually ask an, an expert there what is perennial in your area. You'll want to plant like plants together. Don't plant succulents along with the shay fur. Water wise plants, plant in one area and plants that require maybe a little bit more water you'll want to plant in a different area. With a little imagination your garden will grow and sprout, and take root.
