All right, I'm John with Paradise Palm in Salt Lake, Utah. I'm here on behalf of expertvillage.com here to give you some general plant ideas and plant care tips. Make sure you can pick out the plants that you want in the right way, the right manner, know how to water them, take care of them and see if we can keep it concise and clear so that you can get the information that you need. I generally first off many of our customer's will ask us on their existing plants at home how do they choose to take care of them, what is the best way to water them and what are things to look for. I am going to break this down into many sections but first and foremost, I would like to just sort of take a look at how you would water a plant at home, not physically what you do but things you might want to look for before you choose to water a plant and when to water a plant. In general when you are watering a plant, you want to make sure that you check the soil first, use your fingers. I recommend that you do not water a plant if it is really wet, if it is wet at all to the touch or the top layer of soil, it is probably not the best time to water a plant. Almost all plants in general as far as indoor house plants need to dry out in between waterings at least somewhat.
