Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you the best way to clean your silver jewelry. There are several, several different methods that you can use. A lot of times if you're doing a quick clean up you see that your rings or your bracelet or your necklace needs to be cleaned really quickly and you're on the way to work. This bowl has just water in it. So you want to get water and toothpaste and an old toothbrush that you use to clean with, and this is a lot of times what I clean all my jewelry with, silver, gold, anything, toothpaste is really good, buffing. So if you have a little more time on your hands, and you have a lot of silver jewelry that you really want to get sparkling and you're not in a rush, get an aluminum pan that you would use to take a casserole to a party or Christmas or something like that, you know, the disposable aluminum pans, they're awesome. Keep one handy. You want to place your jewelry in to an aluminum pan and grab some baking soda, which everyone has some baking soda lying around the house. Sprinkle a light dusting of baking soda, well that's a little more than a light dusting but it's not going to hurt anything. Sprinkle a light dusting of baking soda over this, and have a pot of water boiling on your stove. And you want to make sure that it is boiling and you pour the boiling water over the baking soda and the jewelry. It'll fizz and bubble a lot, and you want to make sure that the jewelry is touching the aluminum. This is what is going to clean it. Every piece of your jewelry and every part of it that touches the aluminum is going to be shiny and brand new. Just keep working with it and then your jewelry will look brand new. Another thing, and you can only do this with dry pieces of silver, and this is a quick and easy way if you don't have a lot of time on your hands, you can get these cleaning cloth. This side is for cleaning your silver and this side is for shining it up and buffing it. So you just use the white side, and wipe the silver down really well. This is something that you want to do when you're sitting in front of the TV and you're watching a show at night, you know. You don't have to be in the kitchen, you just sit there and piddle with your jewelry. And then use the dark side to shine it up and really buff. These cloths are awesome, they're reusable and they take little or no effort. So, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and that is how you clean silver jewelry.
