Removing Mold on Bathroom Caulk

Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to teach you about removing mold on bathroom caulk. The problem is caulk a lot of time is air tight and the mold is up underneath. So you want to remove as much as you can first off with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. It'll make this scrubby substance, it's kind of like soft scrub; scrub as much as you can off with this mixture. If you scrub caulk too much, it'll start to peel off. So be very, very careful. After you scrub as much as you can and you've gotten as much off as you can, you want to spray bleach water. Let it dry and let it really kill the mold or mildew. Then you want to go back with your paste and scrub it again. Hopefully by now it's really, really starting to come off. If you can't get the mold or mildew out of the bathroom caulk just by bleach water and scrubbing it; you may have to remove the caulk. That's when you're going to need a tool like this to scrape it off and do your best to really really scrape that caulk and then make sure after you removed the caulk that you bleach water it again. Spray bleach water on it, make sure you'd killed all of the mildew before you go back and re-caulking again. You can buy bathroom caulk like this and you know, it may take a little while but once you've done that, if you just spray the area or spray all the caulk with bleach water about once a week, you won't have mold or mildew grown, growing in it anymore.
