Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and I'm going to tell you a little about cleaning burnt plastic. Usually, if you do have burnt plastic it's burnt onto your stove or in your oven, and a lot of times it can happen from these microwavable meals. If you don't put em' on a cookie sheet first the plastic can drip down into the bottom of the oven. Or, if you set somethin' on the stove and you don't realize that the eye is still a little bit hot you get burnt plastic all over the place. So, what you want to try first is get a wet sponge and squirt a little bit of dishwashing soap on it. This is going to get the excess of the plastic off first for you. Scrub it really, really well; lots of elbow grease, and you may be left with the thinner part of the burnt plastic or something that looks like a brown stain. This is when you want to grab your Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Actually, this one isn't Mr. Clean brand. This is an off brand, and I've found that they work just as well and they're a lot cheaper, so find somethin', a Magic Eraser or somethin' like a Magic Eraser; get it wet, wring it out. I like this one cause' it has a scrubby side and the white side, and this is what you're going to use. You may need to re-wet this and repeat this several times before the burnt plastic is actually off of the surface but it will work. I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and that is how you clean burnt plastic.
