Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and I'm going to show you how to clean tin. Tin, like any other metal is a little sensitive. You want to keep it out of damp areas. You want to try to keep it dry as much as possible, and you know, you may only have to clean your tin once a year. So, Barkeeper's Friend is a good thing to have handy since metal tends to rust. It's really great for removing rust, and you can sprinkle a little bit on your tin; let's see, there' we go, and get a wet sponge and just buff it. And you want to make sure to rinse it off really well. Another thing you can try is toothpaste. You can use toothpaste. Just apply a little bit to your fingertip. Get a a cleaning toothbrush that you use to clean with, and use the toothpaste as a good scrubbing agent. It's really abrasive, so it'll really get down in the cracks and crevices and really, really scrub any metal really well. After you've cleaned it you want to take care of it, so add some metal polish. You want to you use Brasso, or there's all kinds of metal polishes, metal cleaners, and most all metal cleaners are safe on any type of metal. And it's that simple. Just make sure to keep it in a dry area and not touching any other metal, and it won't, it shouldn't need to be cleaned very often. I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and that is how you clean tin.
