Hi, I'm Ann Myrick and today I'm going to show you how to clean a coffee pot. The best way to clean is to use either kosher salt or regular salt because it's gritty and it will get in there and get the stains and get the old coffee out. So what I'm going to do is use salt. And I have a cleaned soapy sponge, so I'm going to just take the sponge and go around really well. You'll see all the brown of the coffee cup coming off from the salt scraping it on the side, so you just go around really well, and I'm just going to go around on the outside too, but if you don't clean your coffee pot you'll get a film that will many times make your coffee taste bitter. Then I'm going to soak and you want to really be sure the salt will stick on the edges of the pot, so you want to really be sure that you rinse the salt off. And now in the morning you can start with a clean pot. This is Ann Myrick and that's how to clean a coffee pot.
