How to Clean & Dry Dishes by Hand

Hi, this is Ann Myrick, and today, I'm going to show you how to wash and dry dishes by hand. I have some hot soapy water that I've started in the sink, and I have a sponge that has the normal side and then the little scrubby side. And what you do is get your dish wet, put the soap on it, and you go around, go around the lip. This has dried cereal in it, so you might have to; some things, you might need to soak just a little bit. What we're going to do is I'm going to let that soak for a moment and come back to it. Here's a coffee cup that I'm going to wash. Go inside. You want to go around the lip where the mouth has been. I'm going to come back to the bowl, and then with hot water I'm going to rinse. Hot water; once you pour out the hot water it will start the drying process if it's hot, so.... Then, with a clean-cut towel go all the way around on the inside and outside. Same thing with the bowl.
