Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you how to spot clean a wool rug. You need to vacuum your rug first obviously so grab the vacuum and the attachment and just get up any excess dirt or debris that may be on the rug because if you are going to spot clean your rug you might as well go on and get all the little spots that you may notice after getting down on the floor and looking at it more closely. Now when you are going to spot clean your rug you want to make sure to read the instructions on your rug and see what type of cleaner it recommends and when you go buy a cleaner make sure that it's okay to use on wool. I know there is lots of different brands you can use and I would still test it in an inconspicuous area like maybe on a corner and give it a few minutes and make sure it does not fade at all. Then you know it is safe to spot clean with it. So maybe you know a pet had an accident or whatever on your rug you're just going to spray the area. If I'm spot cleaning I always let the solution sit on the spot for a little while before doing a sponge and you don't want to work it in as much as you are trying to make it lather and whatever you have if you have a rag a nice clean rag you just want to blot it and you just repeat this process until the stain is gone. Make sure that you get rid of the stain before you let the rug dry because if you can get rid of the stain while it is still wet there is a better chance of you getting the stain completely gone instead of just having a lighter colored stain on your rug. I am Rachel Yatuzis and that is how you spot clean a wool rug.
