Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to teach you about removing rust stains from carpet. A great thing to remove rust stains with is dish soap and water. If you can make a solution, just some soapy water and use a sponge to blot the solution into your carpet just barely. Make sure to get it nice and wet, and I would let that sit for about 5 or 10 minutes before you scrub it and work it in a little bit and have a clean towel to then dry it with. Another solution that works great for rust stains is if you make a mixture of vinegar, with about a tablespoon, I would say about a cup of vinegar, a tablespoon of lemon juice and enough salt to be a little bit abrasive on your carpet. It will help break up the rust, you know, a little bit more, salt is awesome and plus there's some chemical reaction between these three ingredients that works really well on rust. That works awesome, it's something you can find in your cabinet, it's inexpensive, you know and use it just like you would the dish soap. Make the solution in a little bowl and use a sponge to rub it into the carpet. Let that sit and then blot it dry with a paper towel. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and that's how you remove rust stains from your carpet.
