Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to teach you what causes wrinkles in your clothes. Maybe you're a newlywed, you haven't quite perfected the art of laundry, which is personally my least favorite thing in the whole house to do is laundry. My husband can't stand it either, and neither one of us like the way the other one does it. One reason I don't like the way he does it is 'cause our clothes come out wrinkly, and this is why. When you put your clothes in the dryer, you need to take them out of the dryer when they're still warm, but not when they're hot. There's a cool cycle on your dryer that the clothes go through at the very end. As soon as your dryer stops, hopefully you have one that beeps, grab your clothes right then. Don't wait and say "Oh, I'll just turn the dryer back on and warm 'em up later", 'cause they're still going to have wrinkles in 'em. It doesn't work every time. So, after you hear the beep, that's when you want to take your clothes out and fold them or hang them immediately. I wouldn't hang anything when it's too hot because it may stretch it out a bit. So, but, you know, wait..fold it at least. Shake it out really well. Another trick I've learned is if you're going to wash jeans, it's really hard not to have wrinkly jeans come out of the dryer. But when you take 'em out of the washing machine, if you shake 'em out before you put 'em in the dryer, that'll help decrease your risk of having wrinkles all in your jeans. So, really just, you know, get 'em out of the dryer when the dryer is done. Don't procrastinate, don't wait. Don't throw dry clothes into the basket without folding them. You know who I'm talking about. And, if you have a dryer that comes with, you know, the newer dryers come with settings where you can just push a button that says 'Get the wrinkles out of my clothes', take advantage of that. I'm Rachel Yatuzis, and that is what causes wrinkles in clothing.
